JTF calls for peace in Niger Delta

The Joint Task Force in the Niger Delta on Monday appealed to the youth and communities in the oil rich zone to show restraints in order for the region to enjoy the gains of the amnesty programme.

The JTF Commander, Major General Charles Omoregie said the development the region was asking for could only be achieved in an atmosphere of peace.

Speaking through the Coordinator of the JTF Media Campaign Centre, Lt. Col Timothy Antigha, Omoregie said the positive results of the Federal Government’s amnesty programme was there for all to see since it took off in October last year.
