A former president of Ghana, Mr. John Kuffour, on Thursday urged the Independent National Electoral Commission to ensure the conduct of violence-free and credible elections in 2011, in order to restore the confidence of Nigerians in the ballot box.
He said that the conduct of elections which would be fair to all Nigerians should be the goal of all Nigerians and the electoral body in the forthcoming poll.
Kuffour, who spoke in Lagos at the launch of former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s book titled ‘Baba’s story: Nigeria is 50’, organised by the Obasanjo Presidential Library Foundation, also expressed hope over Nigeria’s continued stability in its 50 years of independence.http://www.punchng.com/Articl.aspx?theartic=Art20101029320064
