Senate president,  David Mark, yesterday said that he would do everything humanly possible  to make sure total peace returns to the troubled Ogun State.
Mr. Mark also said  he “will do that, even with the last pint of my blood. I will ensure  there is development in Nigeria and Ogun State, to go from strength to  strength.”
He gave the  assurance in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, during his installation  as an Egba High Chief, with the title Amulutoro of Egbaland, conferred  on him by the paramount ruler of the town, Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo.
Speaking at the  ceremony, held at Alake Palace in Ake area of the ancient town, the  Senate president told the gathering that he would remain a peacemaker,  and also ensure that all Nigerians begin to do things according to the  wisdom of God.
While tasking the  nation’s leaders of the need to imbibe peace in all ramifications, Mr.  Mark said, “I want to assure you that I am not only going to be a  peacemaker, I will ensure that there is going to be peace in Egbaland  and Ogun State, and all leaders will continue to rule according to the  fear of God.”
He also seized the  opportunity to acknowledge the leadership quality of the Speaker of the  House of Representatives, Dimeji Bankole, who he said is a brilliant  legislator, who he {Mark} confessed enjoy working with.
On the expected peace in Ogun State, he said, “having the governor  and the Speaker in the church, before the altar of God, is an indication  that there is going to be total peace in Ogun State.”
