Ain’t no stopping Falcons

Falcons
Super Falcons Coach, Uche Eucharia has doused fears over the impending African Women Championship semi final clash between her wards and their Camerounian counterparts tomorrow when she said, the Indomitable Lionesses were not new to the Nigerian team.
Answering a reporter’s questions soon after the Camerounians dusted Algeria in the last Group B match, the Nigerian sweat merchant said, “good news; a very good news indeed.. We are looking forward to seeing a very good match.”
Uche Eucharia, a former Falcon player herself was confident her knowledge of the Lionesses will be of tremendous good for her players. Said she, “we have played against eachother a couple of times. They are robust and physical and we are no strangers to eachother.”
She further disclosed that the Falcons were prepared for any opposition as they were in South Africa to reclaim the title they lost under controversial circumstances two years ago.
“Our girls are in good shape and raring to go,” she assured.Asked on the prospects of picking a World Cup ticket if they could beat the Camerounians, Eucharia said, “first things first. Our first target is to reach the final, then the trophy. Once we can get to the final, the World Cup ticket will be guaranteed.”
The Nigerian coach praised the standard of the tournament pointing out that women football hd improved in Africa. “The standard is very high, far more higher than we witnessed two years back. Teams now play to the last moment before you can say this team or that the winner. There are no weak teams again.”
