Nylon production machine
Mr. Ibrahim Lawal runs a small-scale nylon production firm, a business he inherited from his late father two years ago.
Lawal makes about N150,000 profit on a monthly basis from the small ‘factory‘, where between eight and 10 tonnes of nylon are produced every week.
According to him, the business is one of the most lucrative ventures he has ever invested in.
All a starter needs to have, according to Lawal, is one unit of excruder (the machine that produces the nylon), an industrial scale, generator and a small rented shed/‘factory.‘
With a start-up capital of about N1.5m, a prospective investor can begin the business, says Lawal.
Excruder, the machine that actually produces the nylon, comes in various sizes, whose prices range between N550,000 and N1.2m. Lawal advises that a prospective or new operator can begin with the one that costs N550,000.
