She was however, striped of the medals after she waived her rights to contest her B sample.
Abughan was the third Nigerian athlete to get trapped in the dope web following positive tests posted by Oludamola Osayomi and Samuel Okon.
However, an athletics coach who was with the athletes in New Delhi, said that Abughan was the architect of her doom.
“I saw her several times going in and out of Samuel Okon’s room even at odd hours. I reported the matter to the Athletics Federation of Nigeria, AFN secretary-general, Maria Wophil but she dismissed the issue.
“The next thing we heard was that she tested positive to banned steroids. I was not surprised because when I saw her with Okon, I knew that something wrong was going on,”said the coach.
