As part of their campaigns, it was gathered that two of the aspirants – former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar and Kwara State Governor, Dr. Bukola Saraki – had contacted the Tunji Egbetokun faction of the Ogun State House of Assembly for support during the PDP presidential primaries.
The Ogun Speaker, Egbetokun, confirmed that some of the northern aspirants, except former military president Ibrahim Babangida, had been making contacts individually with members of the G15 lawmakers in the Ogun State Assembly.
