Stanbic IBTC Bank, a member of the Standard Bank Group, has inaugurated its Lagos Mainland regional office located in Ikeja to cater for the personal and business banking needs of its customers within the area.
Inaugurated by the Executive Chairman, Lagos State Internal Revenue Service, Mr. Tunde Fowler, the office complex further buoys Stanbic IBTC‘s branch expansion programme, which has delivered 70 new branches in the last 10 months.
The bank, in a statement on Friday, said it was opening the office at a time when the banking industry was experiencing growth constraints.
Fowler said, “This significant investment in Lagos State in a time of crisis in the financial services sector reflects the strength of Stanbic IBTC, as well as the strategic economic importance of Lagos State to the bank‘s goal of advancing socio-economic development in Nigeria and the empowerment of its people.”
Explaining the bank‘s rapid expansion across Nigeria, the Executive Director, Personal and Business Banking, Stanbic IBTC, Mr. Jacques Troost, said it was in line with its determination to bring world class banking services closer to the doorsteps of Nigerians.
