ROTIMI AMAECHI
Rivers State Governor Chibuike Amaechi on Tuesday described the three years of his administration as “eventful and fruitful.”
In a broadcast to mark his three years in office in Port Harcourt, the state capital, Amaechi said his government had re-invented what he called “a new Rivers State’’ by fostering and sustaining legitimate opportunities for economic development.
He said, “Each day of the past years has been very eventful for those of us entrusted with your unique mandate.
“We have come to realise that its successful engagement demands a proper and daily regards for the invaluable wisdom of Rivers people, who gave the mandate in the first place.”
“In those three years, I make bold to state that our beloved Rivers State has reclaimed within its borders, the fundamentals for delivering the Rivers State of our dream.
“We have re-asserted the dominance of the force available to the law enforcement agencies of the state as against the contrivance of any group of individuals whatever their interest, as a critical basis for the maintenance of law and order,‘‘ he added.
The governor said his administration had started building of 350 model primary schools and 24 new secondary schools.
