Diamond Bank Plc
Diamond Bank Plc has unfolded plans to open branches in Senegal, Togo and some other neighbouring countries before the end of 2011.
The Head, Corporate Communications, Diamond Bank, Mr. Charles Udoh, said this during the brand managers‘ workshop, organised by Orange Academy in Lagos on Thursday.
According to Udoh, the plan to establish branches in neighbouring countries is part of the bank‘s growth and development plan.
Udoh, who did not give the details of the bank’s plan, said that Diamond Bank has transformed from a conservative bank to a standard bank.
He said, “We are not the type of bank that wants to be the best bank in Nigeria or out shine banks that have been existing for hundred years, but we want to be strong and ensure that we satisfy our customers.”
He noted that although the bank was not where it wanted to be, it was, however, close to where it should be and was not relenting in its efforts.
Speaking on the acquisition of Lion Bank, Udoh said that Diamond Bank experienced some challenges in fixing Lion Bank into its system.
Udoh appraised the efforts of Orange Academy in developing the Nigeria branding system, would soon start having effects on the economy.
He said that with the efforts of Orange Academy, Nigerian banks and other companies would be relieved of travelling outside the country to shoot adverts and secure experts for public relations.
