GOVERNOR Gbenga Daniel has expressed confidence in getting majority support in South West for President Goodluck Jonathan/Sambo re-election bid in 2011.
Daniel, who is leading other prominent Nigerians such as, Africa’s multi-millionaire, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Zenon Oil boss, Chief Femi Otedola in the campaign will today meet with the leadership of Yoruba Youth Congress, YYC, led by National Coordinator, Engr Oginni Olaposi with the aim of mobilizing support of the youths.
Also, an earlier launch of Goodluck/Sambo South West Campaign which was postponed will finally take place in first week of November, 2010 in Lagos.
The governor, while speaking with YYC coordinator expressed confidence that the people in the South West would give their votes to Jonathan en-bloc despite the recent loss of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP governorship seat in Ekiti State to the opposition party.
Daniel declared that he has the support of royal fathers, political leaders, women groups, youths among others, “they all pledged their unflinching support for Jonathan, urging us to flag- off the campaign without further delay.”
However, the final launch of the campaign is expected to be graced by President Jonathan himself, his Vice Nemadi Sambo, Honourable Dimeji Bankole, Otunba Alao Akala, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Chief Femi Otedola and many others.
The event is meant to launch Goodluck/Sambo campaign in the Southwest Nigeria in preparation for the 2011 general elections.
