Democrats privately admit House loss looks likely

Democrats in Washington may be upbeat in public as millions of voters go to the polls Tuesday, but privately, multiple senior Democratic sources say reality is setting in that only four years after capturing the House majority, they are likely hours away from losing it again. "Most people have made peace with this election," one senior Democratic source said.
One thing that is giving Democrats hope: reports from key districts about high turnout and a big influx of volunteers to help get out the Democratic vote.
Still, the question that many House Democratic sources are asking is not whether they will lose the House but by how much.
