Nnabuife, the Acting President-General, Nkpor Community Development Association, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra, made the remark on Wednesday in Nkpor, near Onitsha in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria.
He said that several communities in the area with arable land had been listed to benefit from the programme.
Nnabuife said farmers in the area would also learn from government extension workers and other specialists on best farming practices.
He said, The “Fadama III programmme in Nkpor community and other parts of Idemili will create jobs for our young men and women.
“Its multiplier effects will be felt in the community, with the living condition of many households receiving a boost.”
